Benefits

The Sheriff's Protective Association provides the following benefits to all it's members


FLOWERS / PLANTS

An appropriate gift will be sent to an SPA member, their spouse, parents or children when hospitalized due to illness, maternity or death.

RESIGN / RETIREMENT

An appropriate gift and cash ($15/yr) will be given to any SPA member who resigns or retires in good standing with ten (10) consecutive years as an SPA member.

EMERGENCY LOANS

Short term, interest-free loans are available to members in cases of EXTREME emergencies. "Emergency" is defined as:
a) Death or illness in the family
b) A situation in which a loan would assist the member in getting to work and being productive at work

DEATH BENEFIT

Upon the death of an SPA member, the SPA will pay the beneficiary $2,500 - $5,000 for accidental death.

SPONSORSHIPS

The SPA will fund events for SPA members or their children's sporting activities - up to $100 per member or $200 per team.

DISCOUNT CARDS

Discount cards are available to SPA members for Magic Mountain, Sea World, San Diego Zoo, Knott's Berry Farm and Legoland.

SCHOLARSHIPS

Scholarships are available to children of SPA members. The SPA will pay $3500 maximum per semester (which includes books/tuition) for (8) eight students per year . The application and instructions can be obtained from the WEBSITE.
(Must be submitted prior to March 13th, 2018 )

WET & WILD DAY

In June, the SPA sponsors a day at Wet "n Wild for SPA members. This includes the spa member, their spouse, dependent children under 18 or (1) guest.

PICNIC

In SEPT / OCT, the SPA sponsors a picnic for SPA members and their family. This their spouse, dependent children under 18 or (1) guest. Free food, drinks, games and prizes.

CHRISTMAS PARTY

Our best party of the year ! ( MUST BE 18 YEARS OLD OR OLDER TO ATTEND ) This event has become a formal affair for the SPA member and (1) guest. Free food, door prizes, music and a lot of fun ! (Must pay dues for full year to be eligible) NEW HIRES EXEMPT.
